So, the beginning of my blog inspires me to elaborate further about myself. Starting with basic blah blah info. I’m Kelby, 37yrs, happily married to my husband Chris for 14 yrs now. We’ve got two children. Joey is 16 and Julia, aka Jewels, is 14. We live in my husband’s hometown of Hoyt Lakes, MN. I sing in our church choir along with Julia. Her and I have a very close relationship which I cherish!

If you haven’t figured it out yet I’m an avid crafter of many crafts. I guess I just want to try it all! But that’s what brought me to the conclusion of getting this blog. I want to share the things I create and maybe inspire or teach someone. I’ve made a living from my wood burnings via Ebay but also have customers through other media such as Facebook. But wood burning, if you’re good at it, takes a lot of dedication and time. Some don’t have the patience for it.

My first craft addiction was Paint Shop Pro and other graphics and web design. I love creating digital works of art and designing pages from scratch. But I have to admit, it’s been quite a while since I’ve done anything substantial or worth mentioning in this category. However, I plan to get back into that now as I’ll need to with my blog.

With digital art it lead to scrapbooking. I seen people posting scrapbook pages that were made completely digital. Not everyone has done digital scrapbooking but it’s a cheaper way of making your memoirs more sophisticated. With digital all you had to do was either save it on your pc and share on the web or print it out to place in a photo album. Well I got to that point and came to the realization I wanted to do real scrapbooking. So I started buying supplies mostly online because I found more sales this way. Again I must confess it’s been a couple months since I did anything in this category either! I know I’m batting a thousand! No but seriously, I plan to get back into that in the upcoming weeks as I prepare my blog. Once I get my blog the way I want it I can’t wait to show some of the works I’ve done.

I also have tried many other arts and crafts over the years. But wood burning, scrap booking, web design and graphics are my main focus. Now and then I’ve sketched (even have a portrait portfolio that I’ll post later) and painted a few times. Basically there isn’t much I haven’t tried at  least once, even tattooing! My husband thought since I could draw so well then I could tattoo. Well I learned on my own with the set he bought me and even did a tattoo on him and one on my brother. And I admit they have some small errors in them but not bad for a gal with no training!

Last I will have TONS of tutorials! And it’s a wide variety of them. They range from makeup to wood burning! I will show you pretty much everything I create that’s worth mentioning. I’ve watched and followed trends in makeup, hair, nails, fashion and art so I will keep you up to date as well!
